The ROTOR CLIP HO-106SS is a stainless steel internal snap retaining ring designed to secure components within a bored housing by seating in a precision-machined groove. With a 1-1/16 inch nominal bore diameter and a free outside diameter of 1.18 inches, this ring provides reliable axial retention in assemblies exposed to corrosive environments or washdown conditions. Ring thickness measures 0.05 inches and groove width is 0.056 inches, with a groove depth of 0.034 inches. The stainless steel construction resists oxidation and maintains structural integrity across a wide service temperature range. Installation and removal require standard internal snap ring pliers. This ring is suited for mechanical, HVAC, pump, and plumbing component assemblies where internal retention is required.
This retaining ring is used in applications where a component such as a bearing, bushing, or shaft collar must be held axially within a bored housing or tube. Typical install scenarios include pump housings, gear assemblies, valve bodies, and HVAC fan and motor assemblies. The stainless steel material makes it appropriate for wet, chemical, or outdoor environments where carbon steel rings would corrode. It is installed by trade mechanics, millwrights, HVAC technicians, and plumbers during equipment assembly or component replacement.
Designed as an OEM-style internal snap retaining ring for bored housings with a 1-1/16 inch nominal bore diameter machined to the corresponding groove dimensions specified for this ring series.
Installation requires internal snap ring pliers sized for the ring diameter. Always de-energize and lockout any powered equipment before servicing assemblies containing retaining rings. Confirm groove dimensions match the ring specifications before installation to prevent failure under load. Do not reuse a ring that has been removed, as repeated expansion may compromise retention force.
