The ROTOR CLIP E-6ST ZD is an external E style retaining ring designed to secure components on small-diameter shafts. It fits a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) shaft diameter and seats in a groove measuring 0.052 inches in diameter and 0.012 inches wide. Manufactured from SAE 1060-1090 carbon steel with a yellow zinc dichromate finish, the ring delivers corrosion resistance suitable for general industrial and mechanical applications. A hardness rating of 84.5 to 87 HR15N provides reliable retention under load. With a ring thickness of 0.010 inches and a free outside diameter of 0.156 inches, this three-prong E ring is sized for precision small-shaft assemblies.
This retaining ring is suited for use in small mechanical assemblies found across HVAC equipment, motors, pumps, and light industrial machinery. Its compact profile makes it appropriate wherever a low-profile external retaining feature is required on shafts at or near 1/16 inch diameter. Licensed technicians and mechanical assembly professionals working on sub-assemblies, actuators, and fan or blower shaft components will find this ring compatible with standard groove-cut shafts meeting the specified tolerances. The minimum order quantity is 100 pieces, making it a fit for shop stock and service van inventory.
Designed as an OEM-style external retaining ring for shafts with a 1/16 inch diameter and a groove diameter of 0.052 inches cut to SAE 1060-1090 groove specifications.
Installation and removal require snap ring pliers sized for E style rings; standard internal snap ring pliers are not appropriate for this ring type. Power down and de-energize any equipment before servicing shaft assemblies. Inspect the shaft groove for burrs or damage before seating the ring to ensure full prong engagement. Confirm groove dimensions match the specified tolerances before installation to avoid ring failure under load.
