The ROTOR CLIP DE-6ST PD B100 is an external E-style retaining ring designed to seat in a shaft groove and provide axial retention of components on a shaft. Made from 1060-1090 spring steel with a phosphate and oil finish, this metric ring fits a 6.00 mm nominal groove diameter and is suitable for shaft diameters ranging from 7.00 mm to 9.00 mm. The three-prong E-style design allows side loading onto the groove without full disassembly of the shaft assembly. Hardness is rated at 65-72 HR30N, giving the ring the spring-back and retention force expected in industrial and mechanical fastening applications. Licensed HVAC techs, millwrights, and mechanical assemblers reach for this style of ring when securing bearings, gears, or small rotating components on metric shafts.
This retaining ring is sized for metric shafts in the 7.00 mm to 9.00 mm diameter range with a groove diameter of 6.00 mm. It is commonly used in light industrial equipment, HVAC blower motor shaft assemblies, small pump shafts, and precision mechanical assemblies where side-installable external retention is required. The phosphate and oil coating provides a baseline level of corrosion resistance suitable for interior mechanical environments. This ring is sold with a minimum order quantity of 100 pieces per order.

Installation and removal should be performed with E-ring pliers or a flat-blade tool sized for the prong slots to avoid distorting the ring. Always de-energize and lock out the equipment before accessing shaft assemblies. Inspect the shaft groove for burrs or wear before seating the ring, as groove damage can compromise retention force. Do not reuse rings that have been bent, deformed, or removed from a loaded groove.
