The ROSSLARE ex-06 is a heavy-duty, illuminated push-to-exit switch built on solid-state Piezoelectric Switch Technology. Rated for both indoor and outdoor installations, it generates a dry contact normally open and normally closed relay pulse through the touch of a finger alone, with no physical movement or moving parts. The stainless steel construction is non-sparking, non-magnetic, and corrosion resistant, making it suitable for demanding access control environments. The ex-06 is designed for access control and egress applications across residential, commercial, and light industrial settings. The unit mounts directly to a standard US single-gang switchbox, simplifying rough-in for new construction and retrofit projects alike. Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified security systems integrator in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. Power down the access control panel and any connected door hardware before wiring the relay output. Use the onboard jumper to select the desired illumination color prior to final installation. Verify the relay pulse timing and contact configuration match the requirements of the connected access control panel before closing up the switchbox.
