The ROMAC 266-071007101231 is a 6-inch wide-range restraint coupling designed for joining and restraining pipe in water and sewer systems. Built from high-strength ductile iron with rubber seals and stainless steel hardware, it accommodates a pipe outside diameter range of 6.90 inches to 7.10 inches, making it suitable for ductile iron, cast iron, PVC IPS, PVC C900, and HDPE pipe. A fusion-bonded epoxy interior coating protects against corrosion in both potable water and sewer applications. The one-piece, stab-fit design simplifies field installation. Licensed plumbers, water works contractors, and utility crews are the primary installers of this type of fitting.
This coupling is used in underground water distribution and sewer collection systems where pipe restraint is required at connections, transitions, or repair points. Its wide OD range allows it to span ductile iron through oversize cast iron pipe sizes within the 6-inch nominal class. The Alpha XL series is engineered for municipal and commercial pipeline applications where rated working pressure and certified materials are required.
