The ROBROY PBDS100 is a 1-gang blank cast device box cover designed for surface-mounted FS/FD-style conduit boxes. Constructed from aluminum with a 40 mil gray PVC coating, it is rated for both interior and exterior installations where moisture, corrosion, or harsh environmental conditions are a concern. The blank face plate accommodates no wiring device, making it suitable for closing off unused box openings. It ships with an internal grounding screw as standard and includes sealing sleeves on all conduit openings to maintain environmental integrity at each entry point. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance professionals install this cover as part of compliant raceway and device box assemblies.
The PBDS100 is used in commercial, industrial, and utility installations where PVC-coated conduit systems are specified for corrosion resistance. Typical applications include wastewater treatment facilities, food processing plants, petrochemical environments, marine installations, and any location requiring NEMA-rated surface wiring system components. The FS/FD body style compatibility makes it a direct fit for standard cast conduit bodies with surface mounting configurations. Its blank design is used wherever a box position must be closed, protected, and grounded without an active wiring device installed.
Designed for use with FS/FD body-style surface-mount cast conduit boxes. Suitable for PVC-coated aluminum conduit system assemblies where a blank 1-gang cover is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit and verify zero voltage with a meter before opening any box or handling conductors. Ensure sealing sleeves are properly seated at all conduit entries before securing the cover. Do not over-torque cover screws on PVC-coated surfaces, as coating damage can compromise corrosion protection.
