The ROBBJACK XF-602-12-030 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing operations in demanding metalworking applications. Built on the XF-602 series platform, this single-end, centercutting tool features a 3/8 inch diameter with a 0.03 inch corner radius and 6 helical flutes in a right-hand cutting direction. The 45-degree high helix geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and improved surface finish. An AlTiN (PVD) coating provides heat and wear resistance for extended tool life in abrasive and high-temperature materials. Installed by machinists and CNC operators, this end mill is suited to finish milling, profiling, and contouring where corner protection is required.
This end mill is rated for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, covering material grades P, M, K, and S. The micrograin carbide substrate supports the elevated cutting forces common in these materials. The close pitch, high helix flute design balances chip load across all six flutes, making it well suited to CNC machining centers running tight tolerances. The Weldon flat shank ensures positive drive retention in standard toolholders. With a 7/8 inch length of cut and 2-1/2 inch overall length, it fits standard toolholder setups without extended reach requirements.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 3/8 inch Weldon flat shank. Intended for finish milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium in CNC machining center applications.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the spindle fully powered down and the machine in a safe, locked-out state per shop safety and machine tool protocols. Seat the Weldon flat shank fully into the toolholder and tighten the set screw against the flat to prevent axial pullout. Verify runout after installation before beginning a cut. Consult the machine and toolholder manufacturer specifications for recommended torque and clamping procedures.
