The ROBBJACK ST-343-10-A is a corner chamfer end mill designed for precision chamfering, slotting, side milling, helical interpolation, and ramping operations in demanding machining environments. Built from solid carbide and coated with AlTiN via a PVD process, this tool delivers reliable performance in high-heat cutting conditions. The cutter measures 5/16 inches in diameter with a 13/16 inch length of cut and a 40-degree high helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation. With a chamfer angle of 45 degrees and a chamfer width range of 0.0040 to 0.0060 inches, the ST-343-10-A is suited for machinists requiring tight, repeatable edge preparation on hard materials.
This end mill is intended for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium - material classifications P, M, K, and S. It is a single-end, centercutting tool with right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction, making it compatible with standard CNC machining centers and manual mills running conventional or climb milling operations. Typical applications include production and job-shop environments where consistent chamfer geometry and tool longevity are priorities. The helical flute style and normal pitch configuration support both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool.
Designed for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium (material codes P, M, K, S). Compatible with standard straight-bore end mill holders and ER collet systems accepting a 5/16 inch shank diameter.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with CNC or manual milling equipment. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and machine is powered down before loading or removing the tool. Secure the 5/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder, torquing to the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting, as excessive runout will accelerate wear and compromise chamfer consistency on close-tolerance work.
