The ROBBJACK ST-341-06-C is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precision chamfering and edge finishing in demanding machining environments. Built with three right-hand helical flutes at a 40-degree helix angle, this stub-length tool produces clean chamfer widths of 0.0030 to 0.0050 inches at a 45-degree chamfer angle. The TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) PVD coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in abrasive cuts. Machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, production facilities, and tool rooms will find this end mill suited for both roughing and finishing passes on a range of ferrous workpiece materials.
This end mill is intended for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys including titanium. Its 3/16-inch diameter and 3/8-inch length of cut make it well suited for slot milling, side milling, helical interpolation, and ramping operations where a compact stub-length profile is required. The straight cylindrical shank mounts directly into standard collets or end mill holders on vertical or horizontal machining centers and CNC mills. Normal pitch geometry supports consistent chip evacuation across a range of feed and speed parameters appropriate for these material groups.
Designed for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys and titanium (material codes P, M, K, S). Suitable for slotting, side milling, helical interpolation, and ramping operations. Part of the ROBBJACK ST-341 series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the collet or end mill holder. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating the shank to confirm concentricity within acceptable limits for the application. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and cutting tool manufacturer guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for the specific workpiece material being machined.
