The ROBBJACK ST-341-04-A is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precision edge preparation and chamfering on ferrous and exotic workpiece materials. With a 1/8 inch mill diameter, 3 flutes, and a 40-degree high helix angle, it delivers controlled material removal in both roughing and finishing operations. The AlTiN physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. A 45-degree chamfer angle and 0.0030 to 0.0050 inch chamfer width make it suited to tight-tolerance edge-break work on small features. This tool is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC milling centers.
The ST-341-04-A fits slotting, side milling, helical interpolation, and ramping operations. Its stub-length flute geometry and straight-cylindrical shank make it a practical choice for close-clearance setups on vertical machining centers and multi-axis platforms. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional and climb milling routines. Primary workpiece materials include steel (P), stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), superalloys, and titanium (S). It is a single-end design with a 1/4 inch length of cut and 1/4 inch reach length.
Designed for use on CNC milling machines with standard 1/8 inch collet or end mill toolholders. Rated for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium per ST-341 series application guidelines.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Verify runout at the toolholder before cutting, as corner chamfer tools with small diameters are sensitive to concentricity errors. Consult the machine tool manufacturer and applicable shop standards for proper torque on set screws or collet nuts.
