The ROBBJACK SS-2-034 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. With a 0.034-inch cutting diameter and a 0.051-inch length of cut, this tool is built for small-feature work including slots, pockets, and profiling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 30-degree helix angle and two-flute spiral geometry support efficient chip evacuation at small diameters. The 1/8-inch shank diameter allows use in standard collets and tool holders. Stub-length construction keeps deflection low when cutting at this scale. Machinists and toolroom operators working on precision components, molds, or micro-detail features will find this geometry well-suited to the work.
The SS-2-034 fits production and prototype machining environments where small-diameter end mills are required. Its centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry into the workpiece. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional CNC milling setups. This tool is appropriate for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills equipped with appropriate high-speed spindles capable of handling sub-0.040-inch tooling. Uncoated carbide is commonly applied to aluminum, brass, copper, and certain steels where coating adhesion or thermal properties are not a primary concern.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for standard 1/8-inch collet and tool holder systems used in CNC and manual milling applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully and evenly in a matched collet or end mill holder before tightening to prevent runout. At 0.034-inch diameter, tool breakage risk increases significantly with excessive feed rate, improper spindle speed, or inadequate workholding. Always verify spindle speed and feed parameters against the material being cut before engaging the tool.
