The ROBBJACK SR-2-035 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision milling in demanding production environments. Designed for right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute operation, it features a 0.035-inch cutting diameter with a 0.105-inch length of cut and a 30-degree helix angle. The two-flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation in confined cuts, while the centercutting design allows plunge entry. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in aerospace, medical device, mold, and general precision machining applications where tight tolerances and small-diameter toolpaths are required.
The SR-2-035 belongs to ROBBJACK's SR-2 series of regular-length micro end mills. Its 1/8-inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and tool holders sized for that bore. The uncoated solid carbide construction, ground to Tuffy material grade, makes it well-suited for non-ferrous metals, plastics, and other materials where an uncoated substrate performs without edge buildup. The 1.5-inch overall length keeps the tool compact for short-reach setups where rigidity is critical at small diameters.
Designed as an OEM-style precision end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with collet toolholding systems accepting a 1/8-inch straight cylindrical shank.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and all motion axes locked. Secure the shank in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder to the full recommended engagement depth before tightening. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before mounting, as micro-diameter carbide tools are brittle and sensitive to handling damage. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine manufacturer guidelines for feeds, speeds, and runout verification before cutting.
