The ROBBJACK EX-204-06 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metal, composite, and hard-material applications. This two-flute, single-end tool features a 3/16-inch cutting diameter, a 1/2-inch length of cut, and a 3-inch overall length that puts it in the extra-long reach category. The 30-degree right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. With a 2-inch extended reach length and centercutting capability, it handles both plunge and peripheral milling. Solid carbide construction delivers the rigidity and wear resistance required for production environments. Installation and use are handled by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and manufacturing facilities.
The EX-204-06 belongs to the ROBBJACK Series EX-204, which is engineered for extended-reach applications where standard-length end mills cannot access deep pockets, slots, or recessed features. The uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous metals and applications where coating is not required or where re-sharpening is anticipated. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills. The 3/16-inch shank diameter matches the cutting diameter, allowing use in standard collets without a step-down adapter.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/16-inch straight shank via collet or end mill holder.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the end mill from the collet or holder. Ensure the collet bore matches the 3/16-inch shank diameter and that the tool is seated to the recommended engagement depth per the collet manufacturer. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable tolerance before beginning a cut, as extended-reach tools are more sensitive to runout than standard-length end mills.
