The ROBBJACK C17-0937-16-36 is a solid carbide slitting and slotting saw designed for precision cutting in demanding metalworking applications. The blade measures 1.75 inches in diameter and 0.0937 inches thick, with 36 straight teeth ground to a concave profile for clean, accurate slots and kerfs. The bright, uncoated finish is suited for applications where coating buildup could affect dimensional tolerances. This saw mounts via an arbor connection and cuts in a right-hand direction. It is typically installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on milling machines and machining centers.
This saw is built for cutting cast iron, stainless steel, carbon steel, super alloys, and titanium. The solid carbide construction handles the heat and abrasion generated in tough ferrous and exotic-alloy cuts better than high-speed steel alternatives. Typical applications include slotting shafts, cutting keyways, parting operations, and producing narrow grooves in precision machined components across general manufacturing, aerospace, and tool-room environments.
Designed for use with standard slitting saw arbors on vertical and horizontal milling machines. Rated for cutting cast iron, stainless steel, steel, super alloys, and titanium per manufacturer material application data.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard machine shop safety practices. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the saw. Secure the saw firmly on a properly sized slitting arbor and verify runout before cutting. Always confirm spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the cut.
