The ROBBJACK C1-301-05 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and engineering plastic workpieces. Part of the Series C1-301, this single-end tool features a 5/32-inch (0.1563-inch) mill diameter, a 9/16-inch length of cut, and a 3/16-inch straight cylindrical shank. The three-flute geometry provides a balance between chip evacuation and surface finish. The 30-degree right-hand spiral flute and centercutting capability make it suitable for both peripheral and plunge milling. Machinists and toolroom professionals install this tool in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill is suited for light to medium material removal in close-tolerance work where a small-diameter tool is required. The regular length profile and 2-inch overall length keep deflection low in slotting, profiling, and pocketing applications. The uncoated solid carbide construction performs well in non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and brass, as well as in plastics and certain steels where coating is not required or where re-grinding is planned. It is a shop-ready, single-piece tool with no additional assembly needed before installation in a collet or end mill holder.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct drop-in for applications requiring a 3/16-inch shank, 5/32-inch diameter square end mill in CNC or manual milling setups.
This tool is installed by machinists or toolroom technicians in a collet chuck or end mill holder matched to the 3/16-inch shank diameter. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after seating in the holder, as shank diameter tolerance is held to -0.0001 / -0.0002 inches. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material and depth of cut.
