The ROBBJACK B-300-04-C is a solid carbide ball end mill engineered for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. With a 0.125-inch mill diameter, 0.25-inch length of cut, and a 3-flute helical design, this tool is built for both roughing and finishing passes in difficult workpiece materials. The TiCN (PVD) coating reduces friction and extends tool life when cutting ferrous and exotic alloys. The patented hone cutting edges on the B-300 Series are designed to minimize chipping and produce refined surface finishes where standard end mills struggle. Machinists and tool-room operators working with tight tolerances rely on this series for consistent, repeatable results.
The B-300-04-C is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Its standard-length geometry and straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with a wide range of collet chucks and tool holders used in CNC milling centers and manual mills. This tool operates with a right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction. It does not include coolant-through capability or extended reach, making it a direct, no-frills solution for precision slot milling, profiling, and contouring in production and prototype environments.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines with standard straight-bore collet chucks or end mill holders accepting a 0.125-inch shank. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium (material codes P, M, K, S).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe lockout state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended gauge length and tighten to the tool holder manufacturer's specified torque range. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on a small-diameter carbide tool.
