The RIVETKING. ABA64/P500 is a size 64 open end blind rivet with a dome head, aluminum body, and aluminum mandrel. It is designed for fastening applications where only one side of the workpiece is accessible. The rivet body measures 3/16 inches in diameter with a length under head of 0.450 inches. It delivers a tensile strength of 320 pounds and a shear strength of 260 pounds, making it suitable for moderate-load structural and sheet-metal joining tasks. The bright finish aluminum construction keeps weight low while resisting corrosion in typical indoor and light outdoor environments. Licensed tradespeople and assembly technicians install this type of fastener in HVAC ductwork, electrical enclosures, light fabrication, and general sheet-metal work.
This rivet is used in residential and light commercial applications wherever a flush-setting, one-sided fastener is required. Common install scenarios include duct panel assembly, electrical junction box fabrication, metal framing, and equipment enclosure manufacturing. The 0.188 to 0.250 inch grip range accommodates a variety of material stack thicknesses, and the 0.192 to 0.198 inch hole diameter range allows use with a standard No. 11 wire gauge drill bit. This package contains 500 rivets, making it practical for production runs and high-volume service work.
Designed as a standard size 64 open end blind rivet compatible with manual, pneumatic, and battery-powered rivet tools that accept 3/16 inch body diameter rivets. Use with a No. 11 wire gauge drill bit for correct hole preparation.
Installation is performed with a hand or pneumatic rivet gun rated for 3/16 inch body diameter fasteners. Drill the hole to the specified diameter range of 0.192 to 0.198 inches before setting the rivet to ensure proper mandrel break and head formation. De-energize or lock out any equipment being serviced before drilling or fastening into live assemblies. Discard spent mandrel stems in a controlled manner to prevent foreign object damage in mechanical or electrical enclosures.
