The RIVETKING ABA44LF/P100 is an open end blind rivet with a large flange head, designed for fastening applications where standard flange coverage is insufficient. The body and mandrel are both aluminum, keeping weight low while providing adequate shear strength for light- to medium-duty assemblies. The body diameter measures 0.125 inches (1/8 inch) and the grip range spans 0.1875 inches (3/16 inch) minimum to 0.25 inches (1/4 inch) maximum, making it suited to thin-stack material combinations. This SKU ships in a package quantity of 100. Installed by sheet metal workers, HVAC technicians, electricians, and general contractors where a blind fastening solution is required from one side of the workpiece.
This rivet is appropriate for residential and light commercial applications involving aluminum, thin steel, plastics, and composite panels. Common install scenarios include ductwork assembly, electrical enclosure fabrication, signage, gutters, flashing, and equipment panels. The large flange head distributes clamping load over a wider surface area compared to standard dome-head rivets, which reduces the risk of pull-through in softer or thinner base materials. The 3/16-inch to 1/4-inch grip range accommodates typical single- or double-layer sheet assemblies in the 0.1875- to 0.25-inch total stack range.
Designed as an OEM-style open end blind rivet compatible with standard 1/8-inch hand, pneumatic, or battery-powered rivet tools accepting this body diameter and grip range.
Installation requires a rivet tool matched to the 1/8-inch body diameter of this fastener. Drill or punch the mating hole to the correct diameter before setting the rivet; an undersized hole will prevent seating and an oversized hole will reduce clamp load. Verify total material stack thickness falls within the 3/16-inch to 1/4-inch grip range before pulling the mandrel. Spent mandrel stems should be collected and disposed of properly to prevent FOD hazards in electrical or mechanical enclosures.
