The RIVETKING. ABA43CE/P500 is a closed end sealing blind rivet designed for applications where moisture exclusion and vibration resistance are required. Size 43 designation covers a body diameter of 0.125 inches and a grip range of 0.126 to 0.187 inches, making it suited for thin-stack assemblies. The dome head sits 0.040 inches tall with a 0.25-inch head diameter. Manufactured from 1100-series aluminum body and aluminum mandrel, this rivet meets IFI 126 Grade 9 standards. It is installed with a standard blind rivet tool and is commonly set by HVAC sheet metal mechanics, plumbers, and general fabricators working on aluminum panel assemblies.
This rivet is used in residential and light commercial applications where a sealed rivet hole is needed to prevent fluid ingress or gas infiltration. Typical scenarios include HVAC ductwork panels, sheet metal enclosures, equipment access covers, and light structural aluminum assemblies. The closed end design keeps the mandrel captured inside the rivet body after setting, which also eliminates a potential leak path. The 500-unit package quantity supports production-level or high-volume service work. Drill size wire number 30 is the recommended hole preparation size for proper fit and pull-through resistance.
Designed as an OEM-style blind rivet replacement compatible with standard blind rivet installation tools accepting 0.125-inch body diameter rivets and requiring a wire gauge number 30 pilot hole.
Installation is performed with a standard manual or pneumatic blind rivet puller rated for 0.125-inch body diameter fasteners. Prepare the mating hole to wire gauge number 30 diameter before setting. Ensure all panels are clamped flush before pulling the mandrel to avoid misalignment in the set head. Discard spent mandrels safely and inspect the set rivet head for full flange contact before considering the joint complete.
