The RITEN 51604 is a heavy-duty live center designed for precision lathe work in metalworking and machining environments. It accepts a Morse Taper 4 (MT4) shank and features a standard 60-degree included-angle point with a 1.25-inch point diameter and a 2-inch point length. The head diameter measures 2.875 inches. Built for demanding production and toolroom applications, the 51604 supports workpieces up to 2,200 pounds and runs up to 5,500 RPM. The body is heat-treated for additional strength, and the through-hardened points reach 61 to 63 Rc hardness for long service life.

This live center is suited for horizontal lathe applications in industrial machining shops, toolrooms, and production environments where heavy workpieces and high spindle speeds are common. The full-length spindle provides extra rigidity during deep cuts and heavy stock removal. The quad bearing design supports both radial and axial loads, making it appropriate for between-centers turning operations on large-diameter or long-shaft workpieces.
