The RITEN 48102 is a taper-shank live center designed for use in metal lathes and turning centers where precise, rotating support of the workpiece is required. Built on an MT2 Morse taper shank, this unit seats directly into a tailstock without an adapter. The body is heat-treated steel, and the full-length spindle provides extra rigidity under load. Two angular contact bearings support the rotating assembly, enabling a maximum spindle speed of 4,000 RPM while handling workpiece weights up to 310 pounds. The long-point configuration with a 3/8-inch point diameter and a 60-degree included angle allows clearance for cutting tools during close-tolerance turning operations.
