The RIDGID 31120 is a 14 Series offset pipe wrench designed for gripping and turning threaded pipe in plumbing, mechanical, and pipefitting work. The offset jaw geometry positions the handle at an angle to the pipe centerline, giving the technician clearance to work in tight or confined spaces where a standard wrench cannot swing freely. Built with an aluminum handle, the 31120 keeps overall tool weight down without sacrificing the grip force needed for stubborn fittings. The hook jaw and standard adjustment mechanism allow quick sizing to the work.
This wrench is sized for pipe up to 2 inches and has an overall length of 14 inches, making it a mid-range tool well suited to residential and light commercial plumbing rough-in, gas line work, and mechanical room piping. It is a primary hand tool for licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians who regularly work on steel or iron pipe assemblies. The gray aluminum handle is a recognized RIDGID 14 Series finish.
Designed as an OEM-style hand tool for use on threaded steel, iron, and similar hard pipe up to 2 inches in diameter in plumbing, HVAC, and pipefitting applications.
This wrench is used by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians on threaded pipe assemblies. Always isolate and depressurize the piping system before breaking threaded joints. Apply thread sealant or pipe tape per applicable code — IPC and IFGC both address joint compound requirements for gas and water piping. Do not use cheater bars or extensions on the handle, as this can overstress the aluminum and damage the jaw mechanism.
