The RHEEM 670006a is a regular-bodied, clear solvent cement formulated for use on all schedules and classes of PVC pipe and fittings. It handles pipe up to 4 inches for Schedule 40 and up to 2 inches for Schedule 80. This low-VOC formula meets California South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) 1168/316A, BAAQMD Method 40, and ASTM D2564, making it suitable for jurisdictions with strict air quality requirements. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters use this cement on potable water, pressure pipe, conduit, and DWV applications where a reliable solvent-weld bond is required.
This cement is appropriate for residential and light commercial PVC piping systems. Typical applications include potable water supply lines, drain-waste-vent assemblies, electrical conduit runs, and pressurized irrigation or process pipe. The recommended application temperature range is 40 degrees F to 110 degrees F, making it suitable for most indoor and seasonal outdoor installations. It is not intended for use on ABS, CPVC, or other non-PVC materials.
Designed for use on all schedules and classes of PVC pipe and fittings, including Schedule 40 pipe up to 4 inches and Schedule 80 pipe up to 2 inches. Suitable for potable water, pressure pipe, conduit, and DWV applications.
This product is typically installed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters working under IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Before applying cement, cut pipe square, deburr the end, and dry-fit the joint; apply primer as required by local code before cementing. Keep the container sealed when not in use and work in a well-ventilated area due to solvent content. Do not use on pressurized or live lines — allow full cure time before pressure-testing the system.
