The RH PETERSON G46-18/20-11 is an ANSI-certified Triple T vented natural gas burner designed for single-sided, indoor fireplaces. It produces up to 40,000 BTU/h and operates on a millivolt ignition system with a factory-installed pilot kit and included on/off remote control. The burner features a main center tube with a smaller front flame tube that extends forward, creating additional flame ports and a deep bed of glowing embers. This three-point flame design produces lively, realistic fire appearance without requiring electronic ignition power. Licensed gas technicians install this unit as part of a complete vented gas log system.
This burner is intended for single-sided indoor fireplaces burning natural gas. It accommodates compatible Real-Fyre log sets in 18-inch and 20-inch sizes, sold separately. The minimum firebox dimensions required are 26 inches wide at the front, 20 inches wide at the rear, 20 inches deep, and 15 inches tall. The tapered burner body allows the pilot kit to mount on the angled side rather than the end, cutting required side clearance by more than half compared to conventional designs. Mobile home installation is approved. The APK-11 on/off safety valve and RR-1 remote transmitter and receiver are pre-installed. An upgrade to the RR-2 Deluxe Remote with thermostat, timer, and room temperature display is available separately.
This burner is certified to work with specific Real-Fyre log sets in 18-inch and 20-inch allowable sizes only. Burners are not universal. Using a non-compatible log set creates risk of fire, carbon monoxide poisoning, and property damage. Log set is sold separately. Refer to RH PETERSON compatibility documentation to confirm the correct log set before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed gas technician in accordance with local codes and the appliance manufacturer instructions. Shut off the gas supply at the main valve before connecting or servicing any burner components. Verify fireplace dimensions meet the minimum clearance requirements before fitting the burner. The damper must be permanently blocked open when a vented gas log burner is in service, per standard vented appliance requirements.
