The REGO-FIX 3516.00000 is an ER16 clamping nut designed to secure ER16 collets in compatible tool holders during CNC machining and precision turning operations. The clamping nut threads onto the nose of the collet chuck, applying axial clamping force to seat the collet and lock the cutting tool in place. It is a direct replacement component for worn or damaged ER16 nuts in existing setups. This part does not support coolant-through configurations. Machinists and tooling technicians install and replace these nuts as part of routine tooling maintenance on milling machines, lathes, and machining centers.
The ER16 clamping nut is suited for use in light-duty to medium-duty CNC machining environments where ER16 collet chucks are standard. Typical applications include milling, drilling, reaming, and tapping operations requiring precise tool runout control. This nut is intended for use wherever an ER16-series collet and compatible chuck body are already in service. It is a single-piece replacement component sold individually.
Designed as a replacement clamping nut for ER16-series collet chucks and tool holders that accept standard ER16 collets.
Installation and replacement of collet clamping nuts should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with ER collet systems. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before removing or installing the clamping nut. Use the appropriate ER16 spanner wrench to achieve proper seating torque - do not over-tighten by hand or with non-rated tools, as this can damage the collet taper or chuck body. Inspect the collet and chuck threads for wear or contamination before reassembly.
