The REGO-FIX 1116.03500 is an ER16 collet designed for precision tool holding in CNC machining centers, milling machines, and high-speed spindle applications. With a 3.5 mm clamping bore, 27.5 mm overall length (OAL), and a 17 mm overall diameter, this collet delivers a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0004 inches, making it suitable for close-tolerance work where concentricity directly affects surface finish and tool life. It is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians working in production and job-shop environments.
This ER16 collet fits standard ER16 collet chucks and tool holders used in CNC turning centers, vertical and horizontal machining centers, and manual mills. It is suited for holding solid carbide end mills, drills, reamers, and other round-shank tooling with a 3.5 mm shank diameter. The compact ER16 series is commonly found in smaller-footprint spindles and high-RPM applications where balanced, accurate clamping is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit collet for ER16 series collet chucks and tool holders accepting a 3.5 mm bore ER16 collet.
ER collets are installed by machinists or toolroom technicians using the appropriate ER16 clamping nut and a calibrated torque wrench or spanner wrench set. Always clean the collet bore, chuck taper, and clamping nut threads before assembly to ensure accurate seating and full TIR performance. Inspect the collet for wear, chipping, or out-of-round deformation before each use. Do not exceed the collet's stated clamping range or force an oversized shank into the bore.
