The REGAL CUTTING TOOLS 011553AS is a 1/4-24 UNS bottoming hand tap machined from high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish. Designed for right-hand threading, it features a 4-flute straight flute geometry and a bottoming chamfer, making it suited for cutting threads to the bottom of blind holes where a plug or taper tap cannot reach. The 2.5-inch overall length and 1-inch thread length give machinists and maintenance technicians adequate reach and engagement in typical hand-tapping operations. The H3 thread limit provides controlled tolerance for standard UNS thread fits.

Installation Notes

Hand taps should be installed in an appropriate tap wrench sized to the shank.
