The RED DEVIL 1710 is a card of push points used to secure glass panes into wood window sashes and frames. Push points are small, flat metal fasteners driven flush into the wood to hold glazing in place without cracking or stressing the glass. Glaziers, window repair technicians, and skilled maintenance workers rely on push points for quick, clean glass retention during single-pane window repair and replacement. Each card contains 0.5 oz of push points, providing enough fasteners for multiple lite installations on a single job.
Push points are a standard consumable in residential and light commercial window glazing work. They are driven into the wood frame surrounding a glass pane to hold the lite firmly in the rabbet before face glazing compound is applied. This method is used on traditional wood-sash windows, picture frames, and similar applications where a minimally invasive mechanical retention method is required. The 1710 is sold per card, with a minimum order quantity of 12 cards.
Designed as a standard glazing consumable for use in wood window sashes, picture frames, and similar wood-framed glass retention applications.
Push points are installed by glaziers and window repair technicians using a glazing tool or push-point driver. Before installation, ensure the glass pane is clean, properly seated in the rabbet, and that the surrounding wood frame is free of debris. Drive push points flush into the wood at regular intervals around the perimeter of the glass. Apply glazing compound over the push points after installation to complete the seal.
