The RECTORSEAL CORPORATION 23631 is a 4 oz non-setting, multi-purpose thread sealant compound formulated for use on a wide range of threaded pipe materials. It contains Teflon synthetic fibers that reinforce the seal, making it suitable for demanding plumbing, HVAC, and gas piping applications. One of its key working advantages is that the joint may be pressurized immediately following application, reducing downtime on service calls. The compound conforms to federal specification TT-S-1732 and ships in a can format. It is applied by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians wherever threaded connections require a reliable, leak-free seal.
This sealant is designed for use across a broad range of residential and commercial piping systems. It performs on threaded galvanized steel, iron, brass, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, polyethylene, RTRP, PVC, CPVC, and ABS pipe. Its multi-surface compatibility makes it a practical single-product solution for contractors working across mixed-material systems, including domestic water supply, gas distribution, compressed air, and hydronic heating lines.
Suitable for use on threaded galvanized steel, iron, brass, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, polyethylene, RTRP, PVC, CPVC, and ABS pipe and fittings.
Applied by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians working on threaded connections. Shut off system pressure and relieve any residual pressure before disassembling existing fittings prior to application. Apply the compound evenly to male threads before assembly. Follow all applicable local plumbing and mechanical codes, including IPC and IFGC requirements for thread sealant use on gas piping.
