The RECTORSEAL 07222 is a CPVC solvent cement formulated for use with Flowguard CPVC pipe and fittings in hot and cold water distribution systems. This cement creates a strong, leak-resistant chemical bond by softening and fusing CPVC surfaces together as the solvent evaporates. Supplied in a 0.5-pint container, it is sized for small to mid-scale plumbing work and repair jobs. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters rely on this type of solvent cement to make code-compliant joints quickly and consistently on residential and light commercial water lines.
This cement is intended for use on CPVC pipe and fitting assemblies, including supply lines, distribution headers, and branch connections in both new construction and retrofit applications. It is suited for residential hot and cold potable water systems where CPVC is the specified pipe material. The 0.5-pint packaging makes it practical for service calls, small renovations, and repair work where a full quart can would be excess.
Designed for use with Flowguard CPVC pipe and fittings in residential and light commercial hot and cold water plumbing systems.
CPVC solvent cement joints must be made by a qualified plumber following local plumbing code requirements, including applicable IPC or UPC provisions for solvent-welded joints. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting or joining pipe. Apply primer if required by local code before applying cement, and allow adequate cure time before pressurizing the system. Do not use this cement on PVC, ABS, or other non-CPVC pipe materials.
