The RAIN BIRD MSSTKTH1S is a drip irrigation micro-spray nozzle mounted on an adjustable stake, designed to deliver precise, low-volume water distribution directly to planting beds, garden borders, and landscaped areas. It produces a half-circle spray pattern with a radius of 0 to 10.6 feet and a flow rate adjustable from 0 to 31 gallons per hour (GPH). The stake height adjusts up to 18 inches, allowing the nozzle head to clear foliage or low ground cover. A self-piercing barb connects directly to 1/4-inch distribution tubing by hand with no tools required. Landscape irrigation technicians and irrigation contractors are the typical installers.
This micro-spray stake is suited for residential and light commercial drip and low-volume irrigation systems. It performs well in shrub beds, flower borders, vegetable gardens, and container plantings where overhead rotary or fixed spray heads would waste water or cause coverage overlap. The barb inlet connects to standard 1/4-inch poly drip tubing, making it compatible with most low-volume drip distribution lines already in the field. The adjustable flow rate lets the installer dial in output to match the water requirements of the planting area without changing nozzles or fittings.
Designed for use with standard 1/4-inch barb drip irrigation distribution tubing in low-volume residential and light commercial irrigation systems.
Installation is performed by irrigation technicians or qualified landscape contractors familiar with low-volume drip system design. Shut off the irrigation zone and relieve line pressure before inserting or removing the barb from tubing to prevent uncontrolled water release. Insert the self-piercing barb firmly and fully into the 1/4-inch supply line at the desired spacing; a shallow insertion can result in leaks or nozzle blowout under pressure. Verify system operating pressure does not exceed 30 psi at the zone to maintain accurate flow adjustment.
