Rain Bird HE025DPSM Drip Irrigation Adapter 40 Psi

Product Description

The RAIN BIRD HE025DPSM is a drip irrigation adapter designed to connect 1/4 inch drip tubing directly to a standard outside faucet with a 3/4 inch female hose thread inlet. It carries a 40 psi pressure rating and is constructed from UV-resistant ABS plastic, making it suitable for outdoor installation in direct sunlight. The adapter is intended for use with pressure-regulated watering devices or alongside a separately purchased pressure regulator. Irrigation technicians and experienced DIYers install this fitting as part of low-volume drip systems serving gardens, landscaping beds, and container plantings.

This adapter is well suited for residential drip irrigation setups where a garden hose bib serves as the water source. It bridges the gap between standard hose thread connections and small-diameter 1/4 inch drip tubing without requiring additional tools or fittings beyond the adapter itself. The unit ships individually and is packaged in a box for retail or supply-counter distribution. It fits into systems where pressure regulation is already present or where a separate regulator is added upstream.

Installation Notes

Shut off the water supply at the faucet before attaching or removing this adapter. Hand-tighten the 3/4 inch female hose thread connection to the faucet; do not overtighten or use pipe wrenches on plastic hose thread fittings. Insert the 1/4 inch drip tubing firmly into the outlet until it seats fully. If system pressure exceeds 40 psi, install a compatible pressure regulator upstream to protect the adapter and downstream drip components.
