The RACO 1941 is a combination coupling designed to connect 3/8 inch flexible conduit to 1/2 inch EMT (electrical metallic tubing) in a single fitting. This type of fitting is used where a conduit run transitions from rigid EMT to flexible conduit, a common configuration at motor and equipment connections. The 1941 eliminates the need for separate fittings at the transition point, reducing parts count and labor time. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting during rough-in and equipment connection work on commercial and residential electrical systems.
This coupling is suited for transition connections in panel feeds, motor terminations, and equipment hookups where the conduit system changes from EMT to flexible conduit. The 3/8 inch flex side accepts standard flexible metallic conduit, while the 1/2 inch EMT side secures to standard thin-wall conduit. It is packaged 25 units per carton, making it practical for job-site stocking on projects requiring multiple connections of this type.
Designed as a standard combination coupling for use with 3/8 inch flexible metallic conduit and 1/2 inch EMT conduit systems in commercial and residential electrical installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for conduit fittings and raceway systems. De-energize and lock out the circuit before making conduit connections at equipment terminations. Ensure both the flexible conduit and EMT are fully seated and secured in their respective ends of the fitting before energizing. Do not over-torque the fitting body, as this can deform the conduit or compromise the connection.
