The RAB LIGHTING rbay17s is a selectable-wattage LED linear high bay fixture designed for high-ceiling commercial and industrial lighting applications. Field-selectable wattage settings of 80, 100, or 130 watts allow the technician to dial in output on-site without swapping fixtures. Color temperature is also selectable at the time of installation, giving installers added flexibility across a single SKU. The fixture is rated for mounting heights up to 60 feet and is engineered to replace metal halide sources up to 1000 watts, delivering equivalent lumen output in a significantly smaller form factor.
The rbay17s series is suited for warehouses, manufacturing floors, distribution centers, gymnasiums, and other large-volume spaces requiring high-ceiling illumination. Its compact profile reduces structural load compared to traditional high bay fixtures. The selectable wattage and color temperature settings make it a practical choice for contractors managing multi-zone or phased lighting retrofits where standardizing on a single part number simplifies inventory. An optional battery backup is available, supporting life-safety or code-required emergency egress lighting configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and retrofit solution for high-ceiling commercial and industrial spaces previously served by metal halide high bay fixtures up to 1000 watts.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. Disconnect and lock out all power to the circuit before mounting or wiring the fixture. Verify that the mounting structure is rated for the fixture weight and confirm the selected wattage setting before securing the wiring compartment cover. If the battery backup option is used, follow the manufacturer's instructions for backup module integration and test the emergency circuit after installation.
