The QUIKTRON 576-140-001 is a 1-foot CAT6 snagless patch cable finished in orange and rated CM (Communications Multipurpose) for in-building horizontal runs. The snagless boot protects the RJ45 locking tab during installation and removal, reducing connector damage in dense patch environments. This cable is suited for structured cabling work in telecom rooms, server closets, and network equipment racks where short, color-coded runs are needed to keep port identification clean and consistent.
This patch cable is used in commercial and residential network installations wherever a short CAT6 jumper is required between switches, patch panels, routers, or end devices. The orange jacket is commonly used as a color-coding convention to designate specific VLANs, trunk ports, or circuit types. Low-voltage and data cabling installers, IT technicians, and network contractors are the typical end users for this type of assembly.
Designed as a standard RJ45 CAT6 patch cable compatible with CAT6 and CAT5e patch panels, Ethernet switches, routers, and network interface ports using 8P8C connectors.
Installation is performed by low-voltage cabling technicians or IT networking personnel. No special tools are required beyond standard cable management practices. Ensure patch panel and switch ports are de-energized or in a safe state before working in live rack environments. Follow TIA-568 and local building codes for in-building communications cabling when routing CM-rated cable.
