The QUIKRETE COMPANIES 1585-00 is a 50-pound bag of non-metallic, non-shrink precision grout engineered for high-strength general construction applications. This product delivers compressive strength values that vary by mix consistency: 14,000 psi at plastic consistency, 12,000 psi at flowable consistency, and 8,000 psi at fluid consistency, all measured at 28 days of cure. The grout can be mixed to plastic, flowable, or fluid consistency depending on application requirements. It complies with ASTM C 1107 and Army Corps of Engineers CRD 621 standards. Licensed contractors and construction professionals working on structural and industrial grouting projects are the primary installers.
This grout is suited for precision grouting tasks in both commercial and industrial construction settings. Typical applications include grouting heavy equipment bases, pre-cast concrete connections, bearing plates, and steel column anchoring. The ability to adjust mix consistency on-site makes it adaptable to tight clearances or open voids. It is commonly specified where dimensional stability is critical and metallic expansion grouts are not acceptable or desired.
Designed for precision grouting in general construction applications where non-shrink, non-metallic grout meeting ASTM C 1107 is required.
Installation should be performed by qualified construction or masonry professionals following applicable building codes and manufacturer mixing guidelines. Substrate surfaces must be clean, saturated surface-dry, and free of oil, grease, or standing water before placement. Mix only the amount of grout that can be placed within the working time for the chosen consistency. Do not add excess water beyond the specified mix ratio, as this will reduce compressive strength and compromise non-shrink performance.
