The QUANTUM STORAGE ESD-DC is a zinc-plated drag chain designed to provide electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding continuity across wire shelving units. The chain connects adjacent shelf sections through a conductive cable, allowing a controlled path for static electricity to dissipate safely. At 17 inches long, it fits the standard span between shelving posts and clips directly onto the post at the shelf end for a secure, tool-free attachment. This component is installed by facilities maintenance technicians, warehouse storage specialists, or ESD-compliance personnel who require grounded shelving in static-sensitive environments.
The ESD-DC is used in static-controlled environments such as electronics assembly areas, cleanrooms, and storage facilities that house ESD-sensitive components. It works in conjunction with aluminum split sleeves to complete the grounding circuit across a wire shelving assembly. The drag chain is suited for both new installations and retrofit grounding upgrades on existing wire shelving units where ESD protection was not originally specified.
