The PRYOR TI100D is an individual hardened steel type character used for stamping, marking, and imprinting the letter D onto metal, plastic, wood, and other workable surfaces. The character face measures 3/8 inch in height, making it well suited for applications that require clearly legible, permanent identification marks. Hardened steel construction gives the type slug durability against repeated impact use. This type is sold as a single character, allowing technicians and fabricators to build or replace individual letters in a custom type set without purchasing a full kit.
The TI100D is used across industrial, mechanical, and fabrication environments where permanent part marking, serialization, or identification stamping is required. Typical applications include marking metal components, pipe fittings, flanges, tooling, and fabricated assemblies. It is also used in maintenance and repair shops for tagging equipment or stamping identification codes. The single-character format is practical for replacement of worn or missing letters in an existing stamp set.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or supplemental character for use with standard individual type stamp sets that accept 3/8 inch hardened steel type slugs.
Installation requires seating the type character securely into a compatible type holder or stamp frame before use. Always use a proper striking hammer or arbor press rated for stamping applications - do not use tools that may cause the character to shift or shatter. Wear appropriate eye and hand protection during stamping operations. Inspect the character face before each use for cracks or deformation that could affect mark quality.
