The PRYOR TI025 U is a hardened steel individual type stamp used for marking the letter U onto metal, plastic, or other hard surfaces. This single-character stamp is part of a modular type set system, allowing tradespeople, fabricators, and maintenance technicians to assemble custom marking sequences for part identification, job tagging, and permanent labeling. The character height is 3/32 inches, suited for fine, legible impressions on components where space is limited. At 0.117 pounds, it is a lightweight but durable single-piece tool built for repeated impact use in shop and field environments.
This stamp is used wherever permanent character marking is required on metal parts, pipe, fittings, structural steel, or fabricated assemblies. Typical applications include job shop fabrication, HVAC equipment tagging, plumbing and mechanical component identification, and maintenance marking programs. It is sold as an individual character, making it practical for replacing a single worn or missing letter from an existing set without purchasing a full kit.
Designed as an individual replacement or add-on character for use with standard modular hardened steel type stamp sets requiring 3/32 inch characters.
Strike firmly and squarely with an appropriate ball-peen or engineer's hammer on a solid, supported workpiece to achieve a clean impression. Secure the workpiece before stamping to prevent movement. Inspect the stamp tip for wear or mushrooming before use and replace if the shank shows deformation. No power tools or trade licensing are required, but proper personal protective equipment including eye protection should be worn during use.
