The PROMAX US362290 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/4 inch shank diameter, a 0.25 inch mill diameter, and a 1 inch length of cut, giving machinists precise control over chip evacuation and surface finish in long-reach setups. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) PVD coating reduces friction and heat buildup, extending tool life in aluminum, copper, brass, and similar workpiece materials. With 3 flutes, a variable helix, and a coarse pitch, the US362290 is optimized for roughing operations where aggressive stock removal and vibration damping are priorities.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines where toolholder-mounted, straight-cylindrical shank tooling is standard. The single-end design with a right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction suits conventional horizontal and vertical mill setups. It is rated for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials and carries a material grade of micrograin carbide, making it well-suited for precision shops running production runs or prototype work in aluminum and other soft alloys. The long flute type classification supports deep-pocket and slotting work where extended reach is needed.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials per Series US362 application guidelines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is in a safe state before mounting or removing the end mill. Secure the shank in a compatible toolholder to the holder manufacturer's specified torque; do not over-tighten collet nuts by feel alone. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
