The PROMAX 133-02420 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for chamfering, countersinking, and spotting operations on a wide range of workpiece materials. Built to Series 133 standards, this 4-flute, double-end tool features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter and a right-hand cutting direction. The bright/uncoated finish suits general-purpose machining where coating buildup is a concern or re-sharpening is anticipated. With a 60-degree included angle and solid carbide construction, this mill delivers clean, accurate edge breaks and chamfers in production and job-shop environments alike. Machinists and CNC operators in metalworking and fabrication shops are the primary users of this tool.
This chamfer mill is suited for use on vertical and horizontal machining centers, knee mills, and drill presses where chamfering, countersinking, or center-spotting operations are required. Its 3/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders commonly found in these machines. The 2-1/2 inch overall length provides adequate reach for most standard workholding setups without introducing excessive overhang. The double-end geometry extends tool life by offering two usable cutting ends before the tool is retired or resharpened.
Designed as a standard-shank chamfer mill compatible with 3/8 inch collets and end mill holders on vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tool-change procedures for the machine in use. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Verify that the collet or end mill holder is clean and free of chips before seating the shank, and torque the drawbar or collet nut to the machine manufacturer's specification. Confirm runout is within acceptable tolerance before beginning a cut.
