The PROMAX 119-04036 is a solid carbide roughing finishing end mill designed for aggressive material removal combined with a quality finish in a single tool pass. Built to Series 119 standards, it features a 5/8 inch cutting diameter, three flutes with a right-hand cutting direction, and a 0.03 inch corner radius end geometry that reduces edge chipping on workpiece corners. A 40-degree helix angle improves chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces during high-feed operations. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating adds surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous applications. Machinists and CNC operators use this tool in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill suits milling operations on machining centers and CNC mills where a single tool must handle both roughing passes and light finish work. The long-length configuration, with a 1.75 inch length of cut and 4 inch overall length, provides reach for deeper pockets and stepped features. The straight cylindrical shank, 5/8 inch in diameter, seats directly in standard collet chucks and end mill holders. The micrograin carbide substrate maintains edge integrity at elevated cutting speeds. This tool is a single-end design with no chipbreaker geometry, keeping the edge profile clean for finish requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 5/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank in standard collet or end mill holder tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool from the holder. Seat the shank to the full recommended insertion depth in the collet or holder and torque retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
