The PROMAX 111-03214 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in milling operations. Built from micrograin carbide and finished with an AlTiN coating, it delivers heat resistance and wear life well beyond standard uncoated tools. The 4-flute, 40-degree helix spiral design balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality. At 0.5 inches in diameter with a 1.25-inch length of cut and 3.0-inch overall length, this end mill fits standard toolholders and suits a wide range of milling tasks. It is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into workpieces without a pre-drilled hole. Installation and setup are handled by machinists and CNC operators.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and contouring operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The AlTiN finish makes it particularly effective in dry or semi-dry cutting environments and high-temperature applications such as stainless steel, alloy steel, and hardened materials. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry follow conventional milling tool standards, making it a direct fit on standard vertical mills, CNC machining centers, and manual knee mills. The 0.5-inch shank diameter seats in standard ER, side-lock, or shrink-fit toolholders commonly found in production and job-shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and production-grade cutting tool for use in standard 0.5-inch toolholders on CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills.
This end mill is installed and operated by machinists or CNC programmers familiar with toolholder torque and runout requirements. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Verify shank seating and runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth-of-cut parameters appropriate to the workpiece material.
