The PROFESSIONAL PLASTICS SHDPENA.062X24.000X24.000 is a high density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic sheet cut to 24 inches by 24 inches with a thickness of 1/16 inch (0.0625 inches). HDPE is a rigid, chemically resistant thermoplastic widely used in industrial fabrication, plumbing support structures, food-safe cutting surfaces, and general trade applications. This sheet ships at approximately 1.29 pounds and carries a thickness tolerance of plus or minus 0.050 inches. It is finished in white and is suited for cutting, routing, drilling, or welding into custom components. Fabricators, plumbers, and general contractors commonly stock HDPE sheet for use in wet environments where metal corrosion is a concern.
This sheet is appropriate for residential and light commercial applications requiring a lightweight, moisture-resistant panel material. Typical uses include pipe support pads, tank liners, wear strips, cutting board stock, and protective barrier panels. The 24 inch by 24 inch format provides a manageable workpiece for bench fabrication or field trimming. HDPE does not absorb water and holds up well to cleaning chemicals and mild acids, making it a practical choice for plumbing and pool service environments.
Designed as a general-purpose HDPE flat sheet suitable for fabrication projects in plumbing, pool service, industrial maintenance, and construction trades where a lightweight, chemically resistant thermoplastic panel is required.
HDPE sheet can be cut with standard carbide-tipped saw blades or utility knives at this thickness. Edges may be deburred with a file or scraper after cutting. When used as a pipe support pad or equipment base, ensure the surface beneath is level and capable of bearing the applied load. No heat or adhesive bonding should be attempted without confirming compatibility with HDPE, as standard solvent cements do not bond this material.
