The PRO-SOURCE PRO21263 is a MERV 8 pleated air filter designed for residential and light commercial HVAC applications. Built with a synthetic media and a paperboard frame, it delivers 35% particle capture efficiency across a broad range of airborne particulates. The filter handles airflow up to 1,400 CFM at a maximum face velocity of 500 FPM, with an initial resistance of 0.23 inches water gauge at 500 FPM. Rated for temperatures up to 150 degrees F, it suits forced-air systems operating in standard heating and cooling cycles. HVAC technicians and service professionals install this filter as a routine maintenance replacement in ducted air systems.
This filter fits standard 16 x 25 x 2 inch filter slots found in residential furnaces, air handlers, and packaged HVAC units. Its nominal dimensions are 16 x 25 x 2 inches with actual dimensions of 15-1/2 x 24-1/2 x 1-3/4 inches, which is typical for slide-in filter track installations. The synthetic pleated media provides a higher surface area than flat fiberglass panels, extending service life under normal residential duty cycles. It is rated for use with any unit, making it a general-purpose replacement across a wide range of forced-air equipment configurations.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement filter for any forced-air HVAC unit accepting a 16 x 25 x 2 inch filter. Compatible with residential furnaces, air handlers, and packaged units with a standard filter track of this nominal size.
Installation is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified service personnel as part of routine filter maintenance. Power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the old filter and inserting the replacement. Observe the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient it toward the blower. Filters should be inspected regularly and replaced when final resistance reaches 1.0 inches water gauge or per the equipment manufacturer's recommended service interval.
