The PRO-SOURCE HX16AM-FRV-13 is a heavy-duty pneumatic air motor rated at 9.5 horsepower with a maximum speed of 2000 RPM and a minimum operating speed of 300 RPM. It accepts compressed air up to 100 psi and delivers 24.17 ft/lb of torque at its output shaft. The motor features a reversible shaft rotation, making it suitable for applications that require bidirectional drive. With a foot mount configuration and NEMA 143/145TC frame compatibility, this unit installs directly into standard industrial motor mount arrangements. Licensed mechanics and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers for this class of pneumatic drive equipment.
This air motor is designed for industrial and commercial applications where compressed air is the preferred or required power source — including environments where electrical motors present ignition or code compliance concerns. The reversible shaft rotation expands its utility across conveyor drives, pump drives, mixer drives, and similar rotating equipment. The 6-vane internal design and 1-1/4 inch NPT air inlet are sized to support the rated airflow of 275 SCFM at full load. The keyed shaft output, measuring 7/8 inch in diameter, accepts standard keyed couplings and sprockets for direct or indirect drive configurations.
Designed as a foot-mount pneumatic air motor compatible with NEMA 143/145TC frame mounting arrangements. Suitable for use with standard industrial motor bases, couplings, and drive components sized for the 7/8 inch keyed shaft output.
Installation should be performed by a qualified industrial mechanic or maintenance technician familiar with pneumatic drive systems. Isolate and depressurize the compressed air supply line before making any connections or performing service on this unit. Use properly rated air supply lines, fittings, and filtration appropriate for 100 psi service, and ensure the inlet NPT connection is sealed with thread sealant rated for compressed air. Verify shaft alignment and coupling engagement before restoring air supply and running under load.
