The PRO-SOURCE 90340000109 is a 3/4 inch Schedule 80 CPVC 45 degree elbow fitting designed for use in pressurized plastic piping systems. Molded from chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), it handles higher temperatures and pressures than standard PVC, making it well suited for hot and cold water distribution and industrial fluid handling. The slip x slip end connections accept solvent-welded CPVC pipe on both ends for a clean, permanent joint. At 0.31 pounds, it is lightweight and easy to handle during installation in tight spaces. Plumbers and pipefitters specify Schedule 80 fittings where added wall thickness and pressure rating are required.
This fitting is used in residential and commercial plumbing systems, chemical processing lines, and industrial piping where CPVC is the specified material. The 45 degree angle allows a gradual directional change in the piping run, reducing turbulence compared to a 90 degree turn. It is appropriate for hot and cold potable water lines, hydronic systems, and corrosive fluid applications within CPVC temperature and pressure limits. Schedule 80 construction is common in commercial mechanical rooms and industrial process piping where standard Schedule 40 wall thickness is insufficient.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 3/4 inch Schedule 80 CPVC piping systems using slip-style solvent-weld connections.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter. Depressurize and drain the piping system completely before cutting into any existing line. Use a CPVC-rated solvent cement and primer appropriate for Schedule 80 fittings and follow manufacturer cure times before restoring pressure. Local plumbing codes, including applicable IPC or state amendments, govern inspection and testing requirements for new or modified piping runs.
