The PRO-SOURCE 5510003571PRO is a pneumatic handheld disc sander designed for surface preparation, material removal, and finishing work in shop and field environments. Powered by compressed air at 90 psi, it spins a 7-inch disc at 5,000 RPM and draws 3.90 CFM, making it well suited for steady production use on metal, wood, and composite surfaces. The through-handle exhaust keeps spent air directed away from the work surface and the operator. With a 5/8-11 spindle and a 1/4-inch NPT inlet, it fits standard shop air setups. Installation and operation are handled by mechanics, fabricators, and maintenance technicians working in industrial or trade environments.
This disc sander is suited for general-purpose grinding and finishing tasks in fabrication shops, automotive repair bays, and industrial maintenance settings. The 7-inch disc capacity handles aggressive stock removal as well as finish work depending on the abrasive selected. The 0.80 HP air motor delivers consistent torque at the rated operating pressure. At 4.8 pounds, it is manageable for extended use. It is compatible with standard 7-inch disc abrasives using a 5/8-11 threaded spindle mount, which is widely available across abrasive suppliers.
Designed for use with standard 7-inch threaded disc abrasives mounted on a 5/8-11 spindle. Requires a compressed air supply capable of delivering at least 90 psi and sufficient CFM through a 1/4-inch NPT air line connection.
Installation and connection should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with pneumatic tool safety. Always depressurize the air line and confirm the supply valve is closed before attaching or detaching the tool. Verify the air supply is regulated to the rated operating pressure before use, and confirm the abrasive disc is rated for at least the tool free speed before mounting. Inspect the spindle threads and disc backing pad for wear before each use.
