The PRO-SOURCE 4420003460PRO is an aluminum inline pneumatic muffler designed to reduce exhaust noise on compressed air systems. It threads directly into pneumatic valves, cylinders, and actuators via a 3/4 inch Male NPT connection and supports up to 70 CFM of airflow. The muffler measures 4.625 inches in overall length and 1.0625 inches in overall width and diameter, making it a compact fit for tight panel or manifold installations. Rated for temperatures between 35 degrees F and 160 degrees F, it suits a wide range of industrial and light commercial pneumatic applications. Aluminum construction keeps weight low at 0.1 pounds while providing corrosion resistance in typical shop-air environments.
This muffler is used wherever compressed air is exhausted to atmosphere and noise control is required — including directional control valves, solenoid valves, pneumatic cylinders, and filter-regulator-lubricator assemblies. It is commonly installed in manufacturing lines, automated equipment, and maintenance shops by industrial mechanics, pipefitters, or HVAC and pneumatic system technicians. The 3/4 inch NPT thread size covers a broad range of mid-sized valve and actuator exhaust ports encountered in general-purpose pneumatic circuits.
Designed as a direct-thread replacement muffler for pneumatic valves, cylinders, and actuators with 3/4 inch Male NPT exhaust ports in general-purpose compressed air systems.
Installation is performed by industrial mechanics, pipefitters, or qualified pneumatic system technicians. Depressurize and isolate the pneumatic circuit completely before removing the existing muffler or installing this unit. Use a wrench on the 1.625 inch hex to thread the muffler hand-tight first, then snug with a wrench — do not overtighten aluminum-threaded fittings into ported valve bodies. Verify there are no air leaks at the NPT joint before returning the system to service.
