The PRO-SOURCE 3-101-00 is a Number 00 oxygen/acetylene torch tip constructed from copper for use in oxy-fuel cutting and welding applications. The Number 00 designation indicates a small orifice size suited for fine, low-heat-input work such as light brazing, small-diameter tubing connections, and precision weld tasks. The copper construction promotes efficient heat transfer and resists the elevated temperatures inherent to oxy-acetylene flame operation. This tip is a standard replacement or spare for technicians and fabricators who rely on oxy-acetylene rigs for plumbing, HVAC brazing, and general metal joining work in the field or shop.
The 3-101-00 is intended for use with acetylene fuel gas paired with oxygen in a two-hose torch assembly. Typical applications include brazing copper refrigerant lines, soldering and silver-brazing small fittings, and light-duty fabrication where a controlled, small flame is required. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and pipefitters will find this tip appropriate for fine-detail work on tubing diameters where larger tip sizes would introduce excessive heat and risk damaging adjacent components or fittings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement torch tip for use with acetylene-compatible oxy-fuel torch bodies accepting Number 00 series tips. Confirm torch body manufacturer tip-series compatibility before installation.
Installation and operation of oxy-acetylene equipment should be performed by trained technicians familiar with compressed gas safety and applicable codes. Always close both cylinder valves and fully purge hoses before changing tips. Thread the tip finger-tight into the torch body and use the appropriate tip wrench to snug — do not overtighten copper tips, as the soft material can deform the seating surface. Inspect the tip orifice for blockage or erosion before each use and replace if the orifice is out-of-round or shows backfire damage.
